Micromax has Canvas Xpress at Rs 6,999, expanding its Canvas lineup of smartphones. The phone will be available exclusively on e-commerce marketplace Flipkart, starting December 8.
The phone will be available in electric blue and classy silver colour variants. It sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854p) IPS display.
Powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6582V/X quad core processor and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 32GB. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
Canvas Xpress comes with software features like HotKnot and Smart Wake. With HotKnot, users can transfer data with a tap. All one needs to do is simply tap the devices' screen-to-screen or connect the devices through touch to pair them and share images, videos, music and browser URLs. With Smart Wake, users can open their favourite apps through customized gestures and access apps directly from the locked screen.
The Canvas Xpress features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 0.3MP front-facing camera.
The dual sim smartphone supports 3G, Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity options. It comes with a 1950mAh battery with a claimed standby time of 240 hours and talk time of 7 hours.
